Mobile smartphone and tablet repairer WeFix dropped by the training ground of Newcastle United FC today and fixed players’ phones.
The team from WeFix visited Darsley Park following a city-wide launch of the ‘we come to you’ repair service earlier this week. WeFix launched in the Newcastle area as part of a phased roll-out, which will see WeFix operating UK-wide by the end of the year.
Newcastle United midfielder Matt Ritchie said: “It was great to meet the team from WeFix and have our phones repaired so quickly while we got on with our training session. It’s certainly a very convenient service and I can see it being very popular in the city!”
Customers can book online at wefix.co.uk by simply entering their postcode, and device details, and choosing their preferred appointment time.
Repairing Samsung and Apple devices, WeFix is the UK’s only Samsung-approved mobile repairer, growing rapidly since becoming part of Onecom Group in 2017, and is on target to have more than 50 mobile workshops on the road by the end of the year.

All WeFix mobile workshops are fitted to manufacturer-approved specification with genuine Samsung parts, specialist equipment and trained engineers. As well as Newcastle, WeFix operates in Brighton, Bristol, Bournemouth, Cardiff, Coventry, Edinburgh, Essex, Glasgow, Kent, Leeds, Liverpool, Luton, Manchester, Norwich, Nottingham, Portsmouth, Reading, Sheffield, Southampton, Stoke on Trent and Wolverhampton.
The company was founded by WeFix MD Oliver Murphy, who in 2014 secured a £50,000 investment from Dragons’ Den entrepreneur Kelly Hoppen. The company later bought back Hoppen’s shares, before securing investment from Onecom Group, headed by Darren Ridge and Aaron Brown.
